Asia Abbatangelo is an Italian first assistant camera, camera operator, and amateur photographer. She
graduated in cinematography from the Luchino Visconti School in Milan in 2008 and worked in the
Italian film industry before moving to Marseille in 2018.
Her experience on numerous international productions - feature films, series, short films, documentaries,
commercials, music videos, as well as television programs - has allowed her to grow within camera teams
and develop a comprehensive knowledge of audiovisual techniques and language.
Keen to evolve as a cinematographer and to collaborate on ambitious and creative projects, she completed
a cinematography program at ENS Louis-Lumière in 2025 in order to strengthen and broaden her skills,
while continuing her professional development.
Based in Marseille, with connections in the Côte d’Azur, Île-de-France, and Italy, she is multilingual
(Italian, French, English). Deeply passionate about cinema, analog photography, painting, music, and
travel, she has also been actively involved in several artistic collectives. She is interested in intersectional
feminist and social issues. Committed to these causes, she is a member of the A.R.T.S. association of film
technicians in the South-East of France and an active member of the Femmes à la Caméra collective.
