First an AC for 15 years (and 2 as a grip), I’m now moving to Direction of Photography.
I’m from a family of divers, so underwater pictures was associated to my work very fast. I’m often working as a underwater AC or operator at sea or underwater studio, with a lot of different types of configurations. At the same time, my love for climbing brings me to create a small production compagny for climbing videos. We were following champions opening new routes on the other side of the planet, on a piece of rock, or on the highest pick on earth.
So I was a DOP on a lot of sport videos, but also some documentaries, like « Rouge Gorge », directed by a friend, Marie-Pascale Dubé. That was an unforgetable experience up to the great north, on inuit lands.
Today I work as a DOP on features, at the moment on the short « Don Quichotte contre les forces du mal » , a mix of spécial effects, green screen, stop-motion, scale models, puppets, and 3D animation, which took us 2 years to make, and taught me a lot. I’m regulary on the french daily serial "Un si grand soleil", on France 3 tv channel. This serial asks us to be able to work with 2 cameras on green screen and operate a ronin2.
